Big Ben, The London Eye, Paddington, The Telephone Booths, Fish and Chips, The Royal Palaces
These were all the things that I had on my list of to-do’s when I traveled across the pond to London, England. I wanted the whole tourist experience. London did not disappoint. I found myself feeling like a lot of London reminds me of America. While England is America’s older brother…right! Visiting Piccadilly Circus felt like a mini Times Square. Walking through China Town gave me vibes of walking through the French Quarter in New Orleans.
I am happy that London ended up being my first solo travel destination. My trip was not planned for one (my sister was supposed to go with me) but it turned out to be the start of an addiction to solo traveling. London was easy to navigate via public transportation. The people were helpful when help was needed. I had a great time exploring London by day and by night. Shoreditch was such an awesome area to stay and explore. I visited London in November, so I was a bit surprised at just how dark London gets, so early in the day. But even in the dark I still felt safe exploring, shopping, and eating.
I am so looking forward to returning to London really soon. I know there is so much more to see and do!!
